The Instituto Aeroespacial de El Salvador, also known by its acronyms ESAI/IAES (in English: El Salvador Aerospace Institute), is the first national space agency founded in El Salvador. However, the history of the organization began in early 2012 when the Institute began to informally promote cooperation, mainly to persuade the Central Government of El Salvador to launch a series of aerospace projects.
